To support the Department of Defense by providing first-rate, on-demand, communications services that rival more complex and expensive systems when they are unavailable. This will be done in peacetime, wartime, or times of crisis.

AFMARS is an Air Force Auxiliary organization within the Air Combat Command (ACC) which specializes in providing high frequency (HF) communications support to the Department of Defense. Membership is an honorable contribution that civilian volunteers can make utilizing their own talents and equipment resources to the nation's well-being in support of the National Security Mission.
